BOSE...

when I hear the name BOSE... it was mostly in reference of audio systems ... world class acoustics ...

last weekend, along with Nikhil and Shubham, I went to see SC BOSE - the forgotted Hero. It is one of those few movies based on history which I kinda liked... It was interesting (and embarrasing) to realize that Bose himself was not an army personnel though lead the first Indian Army (Azad Hind Fauz)!

First good thing about the movie... class make-up... converting a marathi into a bengali face is not so easy... then again shooting in breathtaking locations... it was just awesome...

However, if we look from a different perspective, Bose prepared the army from POWs. Britishers used Indians for the wars across the globe (as they themselves were too few!). Interestingly ... they were used because they were cheap and abundand! This scenario is not far different from todays... we are the cheapest and most abundandly available human resource (and intellectuals) across the globe. Then we didn't had guns... today we don't have infrastructure! However, if we follow path of Bose, we just need a leader (like Bose) ... who could lead us & motivate us...and probably find a path to liberate us... who could understand both his people and the competition. He once said about Gandhi - "Bapu knew his people (common Indian), but fail to understand the enemy (British).

Another inspirations what one can get from the leader is of following the dreams... Nothing is impossible, if you have a heart to do it. However, it is not just about dreaming big, but working for it too...

Incidently, I was in Subhash House in my School (other houses were Nehru, Gandhi and Vivekanand). I was the school prefect, representing the house. The movie, did reminded me of my childhood, I still cherish :)
