Bangalore … its’ flooded …
Past a couple of months, B’lore has been in the news… for all the wrong reasons…
One of the recent one's was the case of Nimish Adwani … (http://sbcbrutes.blogspot.com) – the Bangalore Brutalities…
Then Deve Gowda vs NRN Murthy… (this was really interesting!) a lot have been said on media… (a Big Fight on NDTV too)… so no further words…
And now, its RAINS! … past few days it has been pouring day and night… resulting in a havoc… the lakes (or so called lakes) have flooded and flown out on the streets… with bad (rather no) drainage system in place… lots of places are deep in water… the low lying areas are anyway drowned…
Just ref to TOI – B’lore (24/oct/05) front and third page of main paper…
One of the Wipro offices was almost 2-3 ft flooded with water… at the madiwala-hosur road flyover junction… it’s the literal CHAOS! … with one half of the road experiencing 2 ft water levels… and open drains… I just saw the longest traffic jams of my life… almost 5-7 kms long… (those from b’lore can imagine… from silk board to Novell office on hosur road)… and that was at 10:15 am in the morning… and there seems no end to it.
I managed to reach office (started at 7:35 am, reached at 10:35 am)… after being stuck in the BTM layout road for around 2.5 hrs…
But now I am wondering if I would be able to return!!!

Update:
Well I was lucky to return home within 2 hrs...
the second say morning was however swift compared the last day... for most of the individual traffic was cut and diverted through other routes (which got clogged later due to heavy inflow of traffic)...
though the time was shortened due to reduced flow of traffic, the water clogging hasn't shown much difference... with today's pour I fear it might swell more! :((
