Towards the end of an era ...
Today is the last day of my internship at Accenture (Mumbai)... in a few days with my final presentation (of the project), my management will get over ... officially!
looking back ... two years ago it was the same time when I left Wipro to join NITIE to do management... for good or bad... i needed a break from monotonous life... NITIE was a nice opportunity to be dropped! the place was way beyond imagination... a green jungle in the midst of concrete jungle... lot of people fresh out of college having high enthu (unlike me... with enthu died long ago)... two years past by as if it were just y'day I came here...
Though academically, i was not fully satisfied... (disappointed would be a better word) partly from environment (which sometime sucks for people like me) and the rest ... my own efforts were not upto my expectations... things I could have done and didn't do!... plans were just on papers and never executed... but time waits for whom!!! the time has passed and thus the opportunity... but I think I better look for the light at the end of the tunnel!!!
Met some nice people... and some weird characters too... made some friends... and some more acquaintances.... ;)
Can’t say if it was a fruitful endeavor overall ... but hope for the best is still alive...
...A new beginning is at the dawn... a new life to take over...

BOSE...
when I hear the name BOSE... it was mostly in reference of audio systems ... world class acoustics ...
last weekend, along with Nikhil and Shubham, I went to see SC BOSE - the forgotted Hero. It is one of those few movies based on history which I kinda liked... It was interesting (and embarrasing) to realize that Bose himself was not an army personnel though lead the first Indian Army (Azad Hind Fauz)!
First good thing about the movie... class make-up... converting a marathi into a bengali face is not so easy... then again shooting in breathtaking locations... it was just awesome...
However, if we look from a different perspective, Bose prepared the army from POWs. Britishers used Indians for the wars across the globe (as they themselves were too few!). Interestingly ... they were used because they were cheap and abundand! This scenario is not far different from todays... we are the cheapest and most abundandly available human resource (and intellectuals) across the globe. Then we didn't had guns... today we don't have infrastructure! However, if we follow path of Bose, we just need a leader (like Bose) ... who could lead us & motivate us...and probably find a path to liberate us... who could understand both his people and the competition. He once said about Gandhi - "Bapu knew his people (common Indian), but fail to understand the enemy (British).
Another inspirations what one can get from the leader is of following the dreams... Nothing is impossible, if you have a heart to do it. However, it is not just about dreaming big, but working for it too...
Incidently, I was in Subhash House in my School (other houses were Nehru, Gandhi and Vivekanand). I was the school prefect, representing the house. The movie, did reminded me of my childhood, I still cherish :)

the DOME experience...
this weekend I happened to visit the IMAX-Dome theatre... to see Robots...
i couldn't have imagined the experience I had inside the theatre... the moment I entered ... it was a huge hollow spherical (dome) with seats arranged in steep slant...we managed to get the top-middle (supposed to be the best) position ... when I loked down from there I could see the entire hall ... i felt like a tiny little creature sitting there... in due course, just before the movire started, they showed us few trailers of documentaty by National Geographic and Discovery Channel... it was AMAZING!!!
U just feel that you are there in the jungles and mountains ... and lakes and rivers... in bottom of the sea between the sharks and whales... on the top of Mt Everest about to face the snow avalanch... its just spine chilling ...
the roller coaster ride in the movie was like real time ... sitting in an AC hall you were enjoying the 12000W speaker systems and the huge real-life screen show...
it is sure an experience to be felt...

Someone Somewhere....
my latest yahoo status message has stirred a few notes here and there...
considering fall of another wicket of the bachelors' community (Vinay Vora being the victim), people are looking towards few of us who are known as 'buddhas' (or Grand Old Men) of the batch (talking about NITIE) ... On this, my above message provoked some hopes of another man (me!) being in the firing line ;) ... unfortunately ... those were justs hopes and nothing so far has been there in this direction ...
it's funny though, as i am still looking for "someone" who might be "somewhere" ... :)
...someone somewhere...
